John Stevens needs reality check

Publish date:

The Flyers' front office needs to start thinking about sitting Coach John Stevens down and having a talk with him, because the way the Flyers have been playing recently seems to be reflective of the coach.

I am not one to blame the coach for the failure of a hockey team, but when you have talent like the Flyers do there has to be something to blame besides the players when monumental collapses occur, such as the one against the Maple Leafs on March 11.

Legendary coach Herb Brooks always said that a team plays as confident as their coach is. Well, the Flyers do not ever seem confident unless they are ahead in a game. Yet, even when that happens, they become overly confident and usually blow it.

Perhaps this is reflective on John Stevens' attitude on the bench during games.
