Jonathan Blum scores eventual winner as Admirals down Marlies 3-1

MILWAUKEE - Jonathan Blum scored the eventual winner in the second period on the power play as the Milwaukee Admirals downed the Toronto Marlies 3-1 on Saturday in the AHL.

The Admirals (20-12-6 ) went up 2-0 after Dave Scatchard's first-period goal and Blum's marker - his fourth of the season.

Kyle Rogers made 2-1 at 18:04 of the second with his third of the season but that as close as the Marlies would get.

Mike Santorelli added the empty-net goal with a minute left to play.

Milwaukee outshot Toronto 36-19.

Joey MacDonald stopped 34 shots for the Marlies (15-16-6).
