Keane and Pettinger score in shooutout as Moose defeat Wolves 1-0

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Mike Keane and Matt Pettinger scored in the shootout while Cory Schneider made 24 saves as the Manitoba Moose defeated the Chicago Wolves 1-0 on Friday in AHL action.

Tim Stapleton was the only Chicago player who scored in the shootout. Manny Legace stopped all 30 shots he faced for the Wolves (1-5-2). Future NHL Hall-of-Fame defenceman Chris Chelios was kept off the scoreboard for Chicago.

"It was a good team effort but in the end we came up a little short," Chelios said. "I thought we played pretty well defensively and for the most part played a pretty good game."

With the win, the Moose lead the North Division at 8-4-0.
