Keith Aucoin's four points pace Bears to 8-2 win over Moose in AHL action

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Manitoba Moose got an early goal on Saturday night, but it was all downhill from there.

After falling behind 1-0 early in the first, the Hershey Bears scored five straight on their way to a 8-2 pounding of Manitoba in American Hockey League action.

Guillaume Desbiens opened the scoring for Manitoba 1:19 in, but Hershey (34-9-2) responded with three goals in a span of 5:03 to take a 3-1 lead after one.

Keith Aucoin got things started for the Bears at 7:14 on the power play. Oskar Osala made it 2-1 at 11:50 and Jay Beagle added another 27 seconds later.

Aucoin, who finished the night with four points, got his second of the night at 1:48 of the second to make it 4-1.

John Carlson scored Hershey's fifth at 8:07 before Evan Rankin got one back for the Moose (23-19-5) at 14:07 to send the teams to the locker-rooms with the Bears leading 5-2 after two.

The Hershey onslaught continued in the third as Andrew Gordon and Chris Bourque scored power-goals and Boyd Kane added another late for an 8-2 final.

Braden Holtby made 31 saves to pick up the win for Hershey, while Daren Machesney allowed all eight goals on 41 shots to take the loss for Manitoba.
