Kris Newbury scores, adds assist as Marlies beat Senators 4-2

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Kris Newbury scored a goal and an assist to lead Toronto to a 4-2 win over the Binghamton Senators in American Hockey League action Wednesday.

Justin Pogge made 23 saves for the North Division-leading Marlies, who finished 3-2-0 on their five-game road trip. Toronto returns home to take on the Senators on Saturday afternoon. Chris Harrington, Jeremy Williams and Robbie Earl all scored for the Marlies (36-13-1-4).

Williams' goal was his seventh game-winner of the season, tied for the AHL lead.

Denis Hamel had a goal and an assist, including Binghamton's league-leading 16th short-handed goal of the year. Greg Mauldin also scored for the Senators (25-22-5-4), while Jeff Glass made 19 saves.
