Leafs' farm team gives Nathan Perrrott tryout and brings in David Pszenyczny

The scrappy forward, released by the NHL's Dallas Stars during training camp, has signed a tryout contract with the AHL's Toronto Marlies.

Perrott, 29, a right-winger from Owen Sound, Ont., was with the parent NHL Leafs when he was traded to the Stars for a fift-round draft choice last November. He had two goals, one assist and 54 penalty minutes with Dallas.

The Marlies also signed defenceman David Pszenyczny, 21, a native of Sterling Heights, Mich., to an amateur tryout contract. Pszenyczny spent more than four OHL seasons with Sarnia, Mississauga, where Marlies coach Greg Gilbert was his coach, and Barrie amassing 133 points (51 goals, 82 assists) and 555 penalty minutes.
