TORONTO - Joffrey Lupul can thank his new Maple Leaf fans for tracking down an item of personal importance—his iPhone.

The Toronto forward used Twitter to say he'd lost the phone in a taxi Friday morning.

Lupul, who goes by @JLupul on the social media website, suggested the hashtag #findlupulsphone as a trending topic. He also gave a brief description of the taxi and driver and offered a reward of game tickets and a jersey.

Not long after he wrote the post, Lupul said the phone had been found.

"Omg. This actually worked. The search is off! It's been located!!!! Yessss," Lupul wrote.
