Lightning sign restricted free agent defenceman Gervais to one-year contract

TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed restricted free agent defenceman Bruno Gervais to a one-year contract.

The team announced the move on Monday.

Gervais played in 53 games with the New York Islanders last season, finishing with six assists and averaging 15:40 in ice time.

Tampa Bay acquired Gervais from the Islanders last Saturday for future considerations.
