Los Angeles Kings prospect Brayden Schenn named MVP of World Junior Championship

BUFFALO - Brayden Schenn of Canada has been named the most valuable player and the top forward at the 2011 World Junior Championship.

Schenn also earned a place as a forward on the tournament all-star team, joining Canadian teammate Ryan Johansen and Russian Evgeni Kuznetsov. Ryan Ellis of Canada and Dmitri Orlov of Russia were named to the all-star team on defense and Jack Campbell was named as both the top goaltender and the goalie on the all-star team.

Ellis was named top defenseman.
