The victory gives the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series, with Game 6 set for Saturday night in Hamilton.

Corey Locke and Danny Groulx had first-period goals and Maxim Lapierre added an empty-netter for the Bulldogs, who finished 1-for-4 with the man advantage. Carey Price preserved the victory with a 30-save performance for Hamilton.

Dylan Hunter and Mark Mancari countered for the Americans, while Craig Anderson stopped 36 shots in defeat.
