TORONTO - Veteran NHL goaltender Martin Brodeur is joining "Hockey Night in Canada" as a guest analyst.

CBC says he will make his debut during Wednesday's Game 4 of the Ottawa-Pittsburgh Eastern Conference semifinal.

Trevor Pilling, CBC's head of sports programming, says the New Jersey Devils netminder will bring an "extra layer of insight and expertise."

Brodeur says he's looking forward to bringing that insight to viewers.

A four-time Vezina Trophy winner, Brodeur and the Devils didn't make the playoffs this season.
