Montreal Canadiens call up Matt D'Agostini from AHL Bulldogs

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens called up forward Matt D'Agostini from the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs on Thursday.

D'Agostini leads the team with 14 goals and 25 points (11 assists), and ranks third in the AHL in scoring. The six-foot, 200-pound right wing competed in one game with the Canadiens last season, recording no points and two penalty minutes.

In 76 games with Hamilton in 2007-08, D'Agostini - Montreal's sixth round pick (190th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft - ranked second on the club in points with 53 (23 goals, 30 assists).
