The Predators have been healing up recently, and forwards Scott Nichol and Scott Hartnell each returned from injuries last week. But Martin Erat missed the final 11 games of the regular season after spraining a knee in a collision with Jason Arnott.

Erat practised Monday and Tuesday, but will be a game-time decision Wednesday night for game 1 with San Jose. Jerred Smithson practised after hurting his right leg in the regular season finale at Colorado, but centre Vernon Fiddler did not. He hurt his right arm at Colorado, but both are expected to play.

Leahy practised Tuesday with the Predators in case he is needed. The six-foot-three, 200-pound forward had 29 points in 51 games for Milwaukee and made his Nashville debut Dec. 9 at San Jose.

Nashville coach Barry Trotz said forward Steve Sullivan, who has been out since Feb. 22, will miss at least the first two games. Sullivan has had back spasms and recently tried rest to aid his healing.
