New Jersey Devils re-sign defencemen Mike Mottau and Sheldon Brookbank

NEWARK, N.J. - Defencemen Mike Mottau and Sheldon Brookbank re-signed with the New Jersey Devils on Thursday.

Contract terms were not disclosed. Mottau, 30, had four goals and 13 assists in the regular season and added his first career playoff goal in the first-round loss to the New York Rangers. He had 183 penalty minutes in 76 regular-season games.

Brookbank, 27, played in a career-high 44 games. He had eight assists and 63 penalty minutes.
