New York Rangers claim Jason Krog off waivers from Atlanta

The 31-year-old native of Fernie, B.C., had one goal and three assists in 14 games with the Thrashers this season. Atlanta had to expose him to waivers before sending him to the AHL but the Rangers snagged him.

Krog has 56 points (19-37) in 189 career games in the NHL with the Islanders, Anaheim and Atlanta. He was having a big AHL season with the Chicago Wolves this season, putting up 52 points (19-33) in 25 games.
