The NHL draft weekend is usually the busiest period in the summer trade market. Several established stars could be on the move within the next couple of days.

Jack Eichel remains the big fish in the trade market. Several clubs are believed to have expressed an interest in the Buffalo Sabres center. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames appear to have dropped out of the bidding. He feels the Minnesota Wild and New York Rangers could still be among the suitors.

Vladimir Tarasenko is still waiting for the St. Louis to honor his trade request. He's been linked to the Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings and New Jersey Devils.

The Athletic's Jeremy Rutherford reported the Blues are being asked to absorb part of the 29-year-old winger's $7.5-million cap hit or take back a player that doesn't suit their needs. Blues GM Doug Armstrong isn't ruling out Tarasenko returning next season.

Things have gone quiet of late on the Seth Jones trade front. The Athletic's Aaron Portzline recently reported Jackets management has let it be known they don't have to move Jones this summer. They're seeking multiple assets but haven't received any offers to their liking. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman said the Blackhawks are trying to work out a deal that doesn't include Alex DeBrincat or Kirby Dach in the return.

Other players worth watching this weekend include Sabres center Sam Reinhart, Rangers winger Pavel Buchnevich, Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov, Vancouver Canucks defenseman Nate Schmidt, and Arizona Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper. One of them could be with a new club by Monday.
