MONTECITO, Calif. - NHL player Mike Comrie tied the knot on Saturday with actress and singer Hilary Duff at a sunset ceremony in California.

Comrie, who played for the Oilers in his hometown of Edmonton last season and is now a free agent, reportedly proposed to Duff during a Hawaii vacation in February.

He told Hockey Night in Canada in October the pair had first bumped into each other at an Idaho resort.

Duff, 22, told Us magazine last year that Comrie is a "great guy" and she "never met anyone who could say a bad word about him."

Comrie, who turns 30 next month, has also played for Ottawa, Phoenix, the New York Islanders and Philadelphia in an NHL career that began in 2000-01.

Duff has appeared in such movies as The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Agent Cody Banks and both Cheaper by the Dozen films.
