Nick Johnson scores winner as Penguins down Heat 2-1 in AHL action

WILKES BARRE, Pa. - Nick Johnson scored at 1:50 of overtime Wednesday as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins topped the Abbotsford Heat 2-1 in American Hockey League play.

Keven Veilleux scored in the first period for the Penguins (22-6-0), while Keith Seabrook replied for the Heat (16-12-4) late in regulation.

John Curry stopped 29 shots for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to pick up the win, while Leland Irving made 20 saves in defeat.

Both teams finished the night 0-for-5 on the power play.
