UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators aim to avoid

a season-high tying fourth straight loss on Saturday in the

finale of a home-and-home series with the New York Islanders, a

team they have dominated over the years.

Ottawa's offense has struggled mightily, averaging 2.44 goals

per game compared to last year's mark of 3.18.

The Senators have been outscored, 9-2, during the losing streak.

Even a matchup with the Islanders couldn't get them out of their

rut, as Ottawa lost for just the 13th time in 60 regular-season

meetings with New York on Thursday.

First-round draft picks Josh Bailey and Kyle Okposo each scored

power-play goals as the Islanders snapped their own three-game

skid (0-2-1) with a 3-1 win.

The Islanders had been 0-10-1 in their last 11 meetings with

Ottawa and are looking to snap a six-game skid (0-5-1) to the

Senators here. New York will be without defenseman Thomas Pock,

who was suspended for five games without pay Friday for elbowing

Ottawa forward Ryan Shannon.
