Palmer, DiSalvatore and Gillies give Aeros 3-2 shootout win over Marlies

HOUSTON - Jarod Palmer, Jon DiSalvatore and Colton Gillies each had shootout goals as the Houston Aeros edged the Toronto Marlies 3-2 in AHL action Friday.

Maxim Noreau and Joel Broda each scored in the first period to give Houston a 2-0 lead.

Ryan Hamilton got Toronto on the board at 1:45 of the third before Mike Brennan tied it with five minutes left with his second of the season.

Anton Khudobin stopped 34 shots through regulation and overtime for the Aeros (5-5-1).

Jussi Rynnas made 25 saves at the other end for Toronto (3-6-1).
