Phoenix Coyotes left-winger Daniel Carcillo suspended 2 games

TORONTO - Phoenix Coyotes left-winger Daniel Carcillo was suspended for two games by the NHL on Friday for his actions during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks last Wednesday.

Carcillo, who was on the bench, fought Chicago's Ben Eager during the second period. Carcillo was set to miss Friday's game at Ottawa and Saturday's game at Montreal.

He will be eligible to return for Thursday's game against the Washington Capitals. Carcillo will forfeit US$9,610.22 in salary.
