Phoenix Coyotes place C Turris on injured reserve, recall D Ekman-Larsson

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have placed centre Kyle Turris on injured reserve with an upper-body injury and recalled defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson after a brief stint with their AHL affiliate in San Antonio.

Turris was injured in Friday's game against Edmonton and goes on the injured list retroactive to then. The team listed him as week-to-week.

Ekman-Larsson, the sixth overall pick in the 2009 NHL draft, had three assists in 14 games for the Coyotes before being sent down to the Rampage on Nov. 12. He played four games for San Antonio, notching two assists.
