Phoenix Coyotes recall LW Mikkel Boedker, place LW Taylor Pyatt on IR

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have recalled left-winger Mikkel Boedker from San Antonio of the AHL and placed left-wing Taylor Pyatt on injured reserve with an upper body injury.

A first round draft pick in 2008, Boedker will be making his first appearance with the Coyotes after scoring eight goals in 31 games with the Rampage. He played 14 games with Phoenix last season, getting a goal with two assists.

Pyatt was injured in Monday's 6-1 loss to Pittsburgh after a second period fight with Penguins enforcer Deryk Engelland.

Goalie Ilya Bryzgalov also has an upper body injury and is listed as day-to-day.
