Publish date:

PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins signed forward Pascal Dupuis to a three-year contract on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old Dupuis came to the Penguins in a trade deadline deal from Atlanta along with star winger Marian Hossa, who is one of the top names on the free agent market.

Dupuis is a speedy, aggressive forechecker who often played alongside Hossa and star centre Sidney Crosby when he wasn't assigned to a checking line.

Dupuis had 27 points (12-15) in 78 regular-season games with the Penguins and Thrashers. He added seven points in 20 playoff games.
