Pouliot and Hamilton score to lead Houston to 2-1 win over Hamilton

Josh Harding made 20 saves for Houston (2-5-0-1).

Zack Stortini replied with the lone goal for Hamilton (2-5-0-0).

Jaroslav Halak stopped 34 shots in a losing effort for the Bulldogs.

Houston opened the scoring at 8:04 when Pouliot took a pass from Peter Olvecky to make the score 1-0, the only scoring play of the first.

Ryan Hamilton gave the Aeros a 2-0 lead at 9:39 of the second period. His initial shot was stopped by 'Dogs goaltender Halak but he picked up his own rebound and found the back of the net.

The Bulldogs cut the Aeros lead in half at 11:05 of the final frame when Stortini registered his second goal of the season. Andrei Kostitsyn and Maxim Lapierre picked up assists on Hamilton's only goal of the night.

Bulldogs forward Maxim Lapierre picked up at least one point for a team-leading fourth consecutive game while Corey Locke's three-game point streak was snapped despite recording three shots on the night.

Neither team was successful on the power play going a combined 0-for-11with the man-advantage. Hamilton went 0-for-5 while Houston was 0-for-6 with the extra-man.
