Power shift in the NHL

I think we are seeing a changing of the guard in the NHL with some of the recent bottom feeders starting to look a lot stronger, mostly due to an influx of young talent.

Teams like Chicago, Columbus, Phoenix and Washington all either made the playoffs or came close after being bad for so long.

The question is, which of the usual contenders will be dropping out of the race once these teams break in?
