After a challenging 2021 season that was hampered significantly by the COVID-19 pandemic, the PWHPA is looking to move forward.

The organization announced its official plans for the 2021-22 season on Tuesday afternoon, for which registration is currently open.

According to the release, the 2021-22 season will once again feature training hubs, splitting the players up into different regions in which they will train throughout the year.

There will be five of these hubs spread across North America for this coming campaign, taking place in Minnesota, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, and Boston.

As well, the Deam Gap Tour will make its return for the third consecutive season in 2021-22. Launched in 2019, the Dream Gap Tour features the sport's best female players traveling to different cities to compete against one another for cash pots and championship glory while also running community youth clinics and providing young girls with a product to idolize.

Already committed to participate this season are former Olympic gold and silver medalists Laura Fontino and Genevieve Lacasse, along with a host of national team players as well.

Tryouts to determine each hub's roster for the coming season will be held in September once registration closes.

It sure sounds like the PWHPA is in for a fantastic year.
