QMJHL announces 48 random drug tests come up negative

"We are obviously very pleased with the results," QMJHL commissioner Gilles Courteau said in a release Wednesday. "Ultimately, we are responsible for the well-being of the players that are under our care and supervision. Moreover, it is our obligation to make sure that they are educated as well as protected from the use of performance enhancing substances.

"We will continue to make a stand against doping by sanctioning individuals who are involved in any way, shape or form with the use or distribution of banned substances."

The QMJHL anti-doping policy was created in 2004.
