Quebec City is to co-host the 2008 edition of the world hockey championship with Halifax, but planning for the event has been plagued by problems. Boucher said today that the City of Quebec will come up with another million dollars for the event, the federal and provincial governments will also contribute as well as local organizations.

Hockey Canada has criticized the provincial capital for dragging its feet on preparations and has given Quebec City until Tuesday to get the event in order.
