Red Wings eye fifth straight win

Detroit (6-1-1) at Los Angeles (3-4-0), 10:30 p.m. EDT

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Detroit Red Wings were expected to

have one of the league's top offenses this season. So far, the

team has not disappointed.

Detroit looks to win its fifth straight game when it visits the

Los Angeles Kings on Monday.

The Red Wings have scored 20 goals over their four-game winning

streak and lead the league with 3.75 goals per contest.

Offseason acquisition Marian Hossa leads the offensive assault

with 11 points. The right wing has notched one or more points

in all but one of Detroit's games this season, including each of

the last six.

Hossa had a goal and an assist on Saturday, and scored the

game-winner in the shootout during the Red Wings' 6-5 victory

over Chicago.

The Red Wings have enjoyed success against the Kings in recent

years, winning 16 of the last 18 meetings, including three of

four last season.

Los Angeles, which has lost two of its last three games, is

opening a seven-game homestand.

Jarret Stoll leads the team with four tallies and scored twice

in the Kings' 5-4 loss at the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
