Jimmy Hayes is going to have nightmares.

The Florida Panthers winger had the game-winning goal on his stick, and had all but raised his hands when Nashville Predators netminder Pekka Rinne absolutely stole a goal.

Watch Rinne reach back and make a case for save of the year honors:

Sure, we’ve become accustomed to seeing Rinne make some incredible saves, but even by his standard, this is an incredible piece of work. The save kept Nashville ahead by one, but eventually Rinne did crack.

In the span of 12 seconds late in the third period, the Panthers tallied twice to even the score at 2-0, the second coming with only 31 seconds left in the contest. Rinne would make a few more stops in overtime however, and came up big in the skills competition as the Predators went on to win 3-2 in a shootout.
