Robbie Earl scores shootout winner to lead Marlies to 4-3 win over Wolves

Brett Sterling had a chance to extend the shootout for Chicago, but he couldn't beat Marlies goalie Jean-Francois Racine.

Colin Murphy and Aleksander Suglobov also scored shootout goals for Toronto (18-23-2-3).

Kevin Doell and Kyle Wanvig had Chicago's shootout goals.

Kris Newbury lead Toronto's offence with a goal and an assist in regulation. Tyson Nash and Erik Westrum also scored.

Derek MacKenzie, Colin Stuart and Darren Haydar scored in regulation for the Wolves.

Racine finished with 41 saves. Fred Brathwaite stopped 46 shots for Chicago (28-14-1-3).
