Rockford centre St. Pierre named AHL player of the month

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Rockford IceHogs centre Martin St. Pierre was named American Hockey League player of the month Tuesday.

St. Pierre recorded seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points in 13 games last month.

Manchester Monarchs right wing Teddy Purcell was named rookie of the month and Jeff Glass of the Binghamton Senators was named goaltender of the month.
