Rookie Cory Schneider makes 24 saves as Moose blank Bulldogs 2-0.

HAMILTON - Colby Genoway and Jason Jaffray scored second-period power-play goals and the Manitoba Moose held on for a 2-0 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs in American Hockey League action Friday.

The Moose (34-24-2-3) shelled Hamilton goaltender Yann Danis with 17 shots in the second period. The Bulldogs responded with 12 shots in the third period, but couldn't beat rookie goalie Cory Schneider.

Schneider made 24 saves for his fifth win in a row and first professional shutout.

Danis finished with 30 saves for Hamilton (31-24-2-5).
