Roy Hysen named general manager of Canadian Deaflympic hockey squad

TORONTO - The Canadian Deaf Ice Hockey Federation announced that Roy Hysen will be the GM of the Canadian Deaflympic hockey team on Thursday.

Hysen has been working with Deaf Hockey in Canada since 1975 and has won four gold medals.

He will select his team in September 2009 when 35 players will compete in training camp for a spot on the team.

The 2011 Deaflympics Winter Games will be held in High Tatras, Slovakia.
