Roy situation was blown out of proportion

Am I the only one who thinks everyone is blowing the Jonathan Roy incident way out of proportion?

Let's look at the facts.

Roy started a fight with an unwilling opponent. The last time I checked that’s called an instigator penalty and it happens relatively often with much less backlash from fans.

In no way am I blaming Bobby Nadeau, but he saw Roy coming a mile away, and I'm sure he could have defended himself.

Patrick Roy may have directed his son towards Nadeau, but there is no way for him to give the direct order to pummel him from the bench.

What the younger Roy did was wrong - including making rude gestures towards the fans - and the punishment fit the crime. However we have to remember this is still a kid who has a lot of growing up to do and does not deserve to be vilified.

It was a hockey fight that got out of hand. That`s all.
