STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Russia routed Finland 5-0 on Saturday to win the final Euro Hockey Tour event of the season.

Finland outshot Russia 41-20 and had a one-man advantage for 19 minutes 16 seconds - nearly a full period - but failed to capitalize.

Late in the final period, Russia had two players penalized and Finland pulled its goalie for an extra skater to enjoy a 6-on-3 man advantage. But Ilya Nikulin scored into an empty net at 14:46 to make it 4-0.

Russia, 2-0 in the tournament, plays winless Czech Republic in the last round Sunday.

Sweden, the defending Euro Hockey Tour champion, beat the Czechs 4-2 and will face rival Finland on Sunday in a game that will decide second place.

The Euro Hockey Tour consists of tournaments in Finland, Russia, the Czech Republic and Sweden, and is regarded as a series of warm-up games for the world championship in Canada in April-May.
