Jason Blake, Tom Poti, Miroslav Satan and Mike York each had a goal and an assist for New York.

Mark Recchi, Jordan Staal and Maxime Talbot also scored for Pittsburgh.

Malone was scoreless through his first 11 games this season until he had a goal and three assists against Philadelphia.
