Senators send forward Jesse Winchester to AHL team for conditioning assignment

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators sent forward Jesse Winchester to the team's AHL affiliate in Binghamton on Friday for a two-week conditioning assignment.

Winchester, 26, has missed all eight games this season after he sustained a right knee injury in the Senators' 2-1 pre-season loss in Montreal on Sept. 18.

The Long Sault, Ont., native has recorded 18 points (3-15) and 35 penalty minutes in 77 career NHL games.
