Sharks place D Marc-Edouard Vlasic on injured reserve with lower body injury

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Sharks have placed defenceman Marc-Edouard Vlasic on injured reserve with a lower body injury.

The move was made before the Sharks returned from the Olympic break to take on the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. Vlasic had missed the previous eight games with the injury.

The Sharks also recalled forwards Dwight Helminen and Jamie McGinn and defenceman Jason Demers from Worcester of the AHL.
