Sports Illustrated predicts Detroit over Pittsburgh in Stanley Cup final

There could be a feeling of deja vu for hockey fans this season if Sports Illustrated's forecast comes true.

SI predicted the Detroit Red Wings to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup final in an NHL preview issue that was released Wednesday.

Marian Hossa, the Red Wings' prized off-season acquisition, appears on the magazine's cover in Canada and Michigan.

Detroit eliminated the Penguins in six games in the Cup final last spring.

The Canadian Press also predicted the Red Wings would repeat as Stanley Cup champions.
