St. Louis Blues sign Bacashihua, Walker, Stastny and five others

The NHL team annonced that it had signed eight players, including goaltender Jason Bacashihua and forwards Matt Walker and Yan Stastny.

Bacashihua appeared in 19 games for St. Louis last season and had a record of 3-7-3. The 24-year-old had a 3.15 goals-against average.

Walker, 27, played in 48 games with the Blues last season, registering five assists. The 24-year-old Stastny was acquired in a trade with Boston in January and played in 21 NHL games last year.

Also Thursday, St. Louis signed defencemen Jeff Woywitka and Alex Brooks and forwards D.J. King, Mike Glumac and Charles Linglet.
