ST. LOUIS - T.J. Oshie is coming back to the St. Louis Blues for another season.

The 24-year-old centre signed a US$2.35-million extension on Friday.

Oshie appeared in 49 games for St. Louis last season, putting up 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points.

He considered arbitration and receiving an offer sheet.

"A little bit, but I think mostly I just wanted to sign, just wanted to get here," Oshie said. "I couldn't imagine playing anywhere else. I'm very happy with it. I'm glad it's finally done."

Selected 24th overall by St. Louis, Oshie has spent his entire NHL career with the Blues.

"We're excited to have T.J. in the fold for another season," said Blues GM Doug Armstrong. "His energy and versatility make him an integral part of our club."

He has 121 points (44-77) in 182 games.
