Stars hope to continue dominance at Lightning

TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- For nearly 13 years, the Dallas Stars

have refused to lose at the St. Pete Times Forum.

The Stars will attempt to continue that trend Monday, when they

open a brief two-game road swing through the "Sunshine State"

against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Dallas has not lost in Tampa since February 19, 1996, winning

eight straight road contests over the Lightning in that span.

The Stars have outscored Tampa Bay by a 24-10 margin over that

stretch.

Mike Ribeiro recorded a goal and an assist in regulation before

scoring the lone tally in the shootout, lifting Dallas to a 3-2

victory over the Kings on Saturday.

Jere Lehtinen also notched a goal and an assist and Marty Turco

stopped all three shots he faced in the bonus format. Turco

finished with 20 saves for Dallas, which has been taken beyond

regulation five times in its last six games - including four

shootouts.

The Lightning on Saturday squandered an early two-goal lead and

dropped a 4-3 decision to the Florida Panthers, who will host

the Stars on Wednesday.

Captain Vincent Lecavalier netted a goal and set up another for

Tampa Bay, which had won three of its previous four contests.
