DALLAS - The Dallas Stars have placed Jere Lehtinen on the injured list.

The move announced on Wednesday is retroactive to Saturday, when Lehtinen suffered an upper body injury against Detroit.

The team said the injury is not serious and is unlikely to affect his participation in the Olympics for Finland next month.

Lehtinen has three goals and eight assists in 32 games for the Stars this season. The right wing has appeared in 849 career games for Dallas, third-most in franchise history.

Centre Warren Peters has been recalled from the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League. He had one goal in four games in two earlier stints with Dallas this season.
