Stars send left-winger Fabian Brunnstrom to AHL's Manitoba Moose

DALLAS - The Dallas Stars assigned left-winger Fabian Brunnstrom to the AHL's Manitoba Moose on Tuesday.

Brunnstrom was put on the injured reserve list Dec. 27 with a lower-body injury. He had 10 goals and four assists with two penalty minutes in 31 games for the Stars this season.

Brunnstrom had a hat trick in his NHL debut on Oct. 15, a 6-4 victory over Nashville. He became the third player in NHL history to score a hat trick in his first game.

The others were Alex Smart of the Montreal Canadiens (Jan. 14, 1943) and Real Cloutier of the Quebec Nordiques (Oct. 10, 1979).
