Streaking Sharks eye fifth straight win

Minnesota (7-2-1) at San Jose (10-2-0), 10:30 p.m. EST

SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- The red-hot San Jose Sharks

look to remain unbeaten at home and extend their winning streak

to five games when they host the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.

San Jose, which is opening up a three-game homestand, is a

perfect 6-0 at the HP Pavilion this season.

Milan Michalek and Devin Setoguchi each scored two goals in the

Sharks' 5-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday.

Setoguchi leads San Jose with seven tallies this season.

Although Minnesota is tied for the lead in the Northwest

Division, the Sharks have defeated the Wild seven straight

times. Two of those victories last season came beyond


The Wild, who began the season 6-0-1, snapped a two-game skid

with a 3-2 triumph at the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.

Eric Belanger scored the game-winner at the 10:35 mark of the

third period and Mikko Koivu also tallied for Minnesota.

Koivu leads the Wild with 12 assists and 14 points this season.
