Suggestion for Ray Shero

Watching the Penguins this year and having been a fan since I was little, I have seen many players come and go from Pittsburgh.

I realize Ray Shero is in a tough situation trying to lock up all the players he deems worthy. I have a suggestion: try Andrew Brunette.

He is a physical front-of-the-net presence who will come cheaper than Ryan Malone. Watching Brunette play, I see a player who wears his heart on his sleeve.

Brunette does the dirty work to get his goals and is used to playing with star players like Joe Sakic. Brunette would also fill the leadership void that would be left by Gary Roberts’ departure.

Let Malone walk and pick up Brunette.
