Sunday's NHL playoff scoring summary:

Penguins 1 at Red Wings 3

First Period

1. Pittsburgh, Malkin 13 (Letang, Guerin) 16:50 (pp)

Penalty - Kronwall Det (cross-checking) 16:08.

On the game's opening power play, Malkin recovers a rebound in the slot during a goal-mouth scramble. His shot is initially stopped by defenceman Stuart who is standing in the crease, but in an attempt to clear it, he accidentally knocks the puck into his own net.

Second Period

2. Detroit, Ericsson 3 (Hudler, Helm) 4:21

For the second time in as many games, the Red Wings take advantage of an icing call against a line of tired Penguins. Hudler feeds the puck back to Ericsson at the blue line. Completely screened by Helm who is alone at the top of the crease, Fleury is unable to react as the shot flies by.

3. Detroit, Filppula 2 (Holmstrom, Hossa) 10:29

Penalty - Malkin Pgh (interference) 8:15.

Detroit takes the lead following a commotion in front of the net. Hossa is unable to shove in a rebound as he battles Fleury in the crease. The puck slides out to Filppula and - with the Penguin goalie buried under players - backhands it into the unguarded side.

Third Period

4. Detroit, Abdelkader 2 (Holmstrom) 2:47

Wasting time while awaiting a line change, Abdelkader goes on a solo rush into the Pittsburgh end against two defenders. His first shot is blocked but he swipes at the bouncing puck and watches it flutter over Fleury's outstretched catcher into the top corner.

Penalties - Talbot Pgh (slashing), Malkin Pgh (instigating, fighting, misconduct), Zetterberg Det (fighting) 19:41.
