Michel Ouellet and Gary Roberts also scored for the Penguins. Jason Spezza and Dany Heatley replied for Ottawa. Marc-Andre Fleury made 35 saves for Pittsburgh while Ray Emery stopped 24 shots for Ottawa.

The Penguins moved into a fourth-place tie with the Senators in the Eastern Conference.
